Worldwide Alumni Association of AUB gets its first woman president: Wafa Saab.

NNA - In a press release by the Worldwide Alumni Association of the American University of Beirut (WAAAUB), it said: "WAAAUB has made history by electing its first woman president, Wafa Saab (EMBA `07), CEO and board member of Tinol Paints International Co., sal." Saab succeeds Media Studies Professor Nabil Dajani who served as WAAAUB president from 2011 to 2015. "I am a firm believer in the role of AUB in the lives of its alumni," said Saab. "Having served as president of the WAAAUB Executive MBA Chapter, I fully appreciate the responsibility and the importance of strengthening and promoting this remarkable association. As President, I look forward to expanding the huge potential for growth of this powerful network." Release said: "Wafa Saab heads her family-owned business, Tinol Paints International, which was founded in 1956. She is also president of the WAAAUB EMBA chapter, VP of the International School of Choueifat AA (SABIS), board member of AMIDEAST, BIA (LAU Board of International Advisors), CIH (Civic Influence Hub), Beiteddine Festival, Baalbeck Festival, and the Lebanese Red Cross. Saab received her undergraduate degree from the Lebanese American University in 1991 with a BA in Human Development and her EMBA from AUB in 2007." Release went on to say: "Saab will be collaborating with her fellow board members and other leadership bodies from around the world in charting the course of the alumni association. The membership of the new Board of Directors reflects AUB and WAAAUB's commitment to ensuring a truly global representation of its 55,000 alumni."
