Electronic travel information distributor Worldspan has been chosen by both bmi british midland and Virgin Atlantic Airways to issue tickets for customers.

Both airlines may now issue electronic tickets through Worldspan travel agents as they are now members of the global distribution system's e-ticketing service. bmi british midland has also announced its intent to upgrade to Direct Sell status giving it the ability to sell seats from Worldspan's neutral availability screen.

The financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
