World IP Communications Library from BNA International.

BNA International (BNAI; London) is no offering free trial subscriptions to World IP & Communications Library, a new information resource that offers information on the latest developments in international data protection, communications regulations, intellectual property and licensing law. All information is available online with additional monthly print updates.

BNAI said the resource is designed to offer users current news and information in all areas of international IP and communications law and regulation, including all major global developments affecting communications and emerging from the convergence of technologies. It includes data on how relevant issues are being dealt with in different jurisdictions, including topics such as internet governance, domain names, defamation, liability, data protection, dispute resolution and copyright infringement, and carries text of new regulations, enforcement actions and other legal documents.

Additional topics covered include, unfair competition, design rights, patentability of software and business method, media law, information technology, regulation, e-commerce, security and surveillance, privacy, appellations of origin, computer software, data privacy and databases.

Initial editorial includes: commentary on new Assent Rules for contract changes in the U.S., patent abuse in the European Union, a Japan-Brazil agreement to spread Japanese digital TV systems in South America, computer program protection in Korea, new rules for mobile phone operators in the U.K., and the fate of internet neutrality in the U.S.
