World Hepatitis day marked in Quetta.
QUETTA -- Pakistan Herpetology society organized walk at Quetta's civil hospital to mark World Hepatitis day, as number of people including doctors attended the walk for an awareness cause.
Head of Gastroenterology, Professor Doctor Sharbat Khan said that lack of awareness is the main cause for increase in number of hepatitis patients. Though, if patients are timely screen, disease can be cured far easily. 'Zhob, Naseer Abad, Loralai, Khuzdar, Dera Murad Jamali, and Sibbi are more prone to hepatitis B and C, Dr Shharbat Khan said as he insists that lack of awareness towards the symptoms can lead the disease towards last stage where recovery of patient can be a tough task.
Balochistan does not have a basic blood test machine for diagnosing hepatitis; Senior Registrar of Gastro department of BMC Dr. Dawood Ghilzai made a shocking revelation. He also claims, government lacks interests in providing the medicines and other facilities to the patients, which causes huge issues for them as well.
