World Documentary Unveils Palmyra's Hidden Treasures.

Damascus, (SANA)-The German director Martin Baperoski said he is currently shooting a documentary on the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra and its landmarks still buried under the sand.

In a statement to Tishreen daily, Baperoski says that what sets the film apart is that it focuses on the as yet unknown sites, not only the distinct sites which flourished in the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D.

He said that Queen Zenobia's conquests in her wars and the ancient Palmyra writings will figure prominently in the film.

The films will be screened on the German Channel ZDF and the French RTV in fall.

The film photographer Roxana Ardlen said Palmyra has exquisite atmosphere that gives special clarity to photos.
