World Bank has predicted a marked hike in Algeria's economic growth in 2010 with a GDP (gross domestic product) rise by 3.9%, combined with an improvement in the balance of payments. In a report entitled "Global Economic Prospects (GEP): Crisis, Finance and Growth 2010," released on Thursday, the World Bank stressed that Algeria's GDP, which increased by 2.1% in 2009, should continue its increase to reach 3.9% growth in 2010. The Bretton Woods institution has made better forecasts for Algeria in 2011, with a gross domestic product rise by 4%.AaAa
