World's first recyclable single-use baby bottle.

A novel disposable, single-use baby bottle is said to be 100% recyclable and BPA-free. The new ready-to-use bottle was created by Rexam Home & Personal Care, N. Versailles, Pa., in collaboration with Steribottle Ltd. in the U.K. The disposable Steribottle is a three-piece assembly of an overcap, bi-injected nipple, and bottle.

The bottle and overcap are polypropylene and the nipple is bi-injected PP/TPE. The one-piece nipple and collar cuts cost by avoiding multiple tools and assembly. Usually the nipple (of non-recyclable silicone) and collar are produced separately and assembled. The aseptic Steribottle is the first product of Rexam's brandnew cleanroom facility in Buffalo Grove, Ill.
