Work hard, play hard.

AS SPORTSMEN AND OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS, we are often drawn to products that are utilitarian in nature. They are usually great for work but less so for play. The Polaris RZR 4 900 EPS captured our attention, and we quickly discovered that Polaris' latest four-seat RZR can combine both work and play. And a large credit for this goes to its storage capabilities provided by the cargo area and the generous (and removable) rear seats. These were great places to store packs, rifle cases, coolers and other large, oddly shaped items while leaving enough room to carry a few shooting partners or hunting buddies.

With 75 horsepower, the ProStar 900 four-stroke DOHC twin-cylinder engine has plenty of power to haul heavy loads at a slow and steady pace, yet rockets north of 60 mph when it's time to stretch its legs.

Not only is the ride plush, but creature comforts within the cabin are well thought out for the driver and passengers. The driver compartment features a tilting sport steering wheel, illuminated gauge pod, controls and floor boards. Four cup holders, high-back bolstered seats, grab handles for all and generous floor space leave you ready for more.

The RZR 4 900 features a 60-inch track width for easy transport, while also providing confidence-inspiring stability. When the going gets rough, Fox's Podium X external bypass shocks, boasting over a foot of front and rear suspension travel, soak up any bumps, washouts or big hits you may encounter, providing every passenger with a comfortable ride. Given its ground clearance of 12!/2 inches and an On-Demand AWD system, the RZR 4 900 can travel places once thought impossible and provides unparalleled control across steep and uneven terrain.

We opted for Polaris' lower door inserts, a graphic sport roof and flip-down poly windshield to shelter occupants from the elements. A Kolpin gun boot, gun scabbard mount and a Lock & Ride cargo box kept our long guns and gear safe, secure and dry.

Whether heading deep into the backcountry for an extended stay or hauling family and friends to the trail for a day, the Polaris RZR 4 900 provides a high level of comfort, confidence, utility and--most importantly--fun!
