Wooley joins IIABA. (Associations).

Derek Wooley has joined the state government affairs team at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, where he will be the senior state government affairs representative. In his new role, Wooley will advance the legislative and regulatory interests of agents and brokers, enhance IIABA's grassroots efforts, and become a liaison to state affiliates. He also will be working closely with such organizations as the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, National Conference of Insurance Legislators, and National Conference of State Legislatures.

Prior to joining IIABA's staff, Wooley was state issues coordinator at the NAIC and a legislative specialist at the American Association of Health Plans. He also has more than four years of experience working at the Louisiana Department of Insurance.
