Wood display.

Over 100 of the best wood engravings from around the world came to County Durham last week.

The Society of Wood Engravers brought its 68th annual exhibition to the Durham Light Infantry Museum and Durham Art Gallery from December 10.

The 120 engravings illustrate the freshest ideas in engraving as well as traditional skills.

The exhibition, which features artists from Japan, Ukraine, France, Holland, Poland, Italy, Brazil, Canada and USA, and Britain, will be at the museum at Aykley Heads, Durham, until January 15.
