Women boss DIY at home.
Women are taking control of household DIY, a study has revealed.
Research found that 52 per cent of British women now do DIY at home and men are more likely to call a tradesman and ask for help with a project.
Technology firm Honeywell also discovered that women splash out almost PS200 more than men on DIY.
The average spend across Britain is PS823 per project. Women spend PS911 while men spend almost PS200 less. People aged over 55 spend the most, PS966, while 18 to 24-year-olds spend the least - PS420.
The study also found women need help with DIY less often.
