Woman suffers skull fracture in traffic accident.

An 80-year-old woman was seriously injured on Tuesday morning when she was hit by a car while she was walking along a street in Protaras.

According to police reports, under unknown circumstances the woman was hit by a car driven by a 47-year-old man in Dramas street, Protaras at around 11.30am.

The woman, who suffered a skull fracture, was initially transferred to the Famagusta general hospital but due to the severity of her condition, she was later taken to the Nicosia general hospital.

Paralimni police are investigating the case.
