Woman on drug charge.

A WOMAN has appeared in court accused of drug dealing.

Jayne Singleton, of Glenside Close in Edgerton, was before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.

She faces a charge of possession of amphetamine with intent to supply.

The alleged offence took place on January 18.

Vanessa Schofield, prosecuting, said that on that date police searched the 52-year-old's flat.

There they are alleged to have found various quantities of the Class B drug, together with weighing scales and a drug bulking agent.

Singleton denies the charge and faces trial at Leeds Crown Court.

Magistrates told her that she will first appear there on August 12.

Unconditional bail was granted.
