Woman in pylon fall; ACCIDENT.

A woman yesterday survived falling from an electricity pylon, the ambulance service said. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene at Kingswinford Road, Dudley, just after 3pm.

A spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find a woman who had fallen from a pylon. She had suffered numerous injuries.

"She was taken to the A&E department of Russells Hall Hospital which was nearby."An ambulance crew and an incident support officer attended the incident, and the service's Urban Search and Rescue Team was alerted. The spokesman could not give any more details as to the circumstances surrounding the woman's fall. A spokeswoman forWest Midlands Police said they attended reports of a woman climbing the pylon. She could not comment on why the woman climbed the structure, but said she was not an employee.
