Woman in fall from balcony.
Mother-of-three Dina Williams, 43, lost her balance and plunged from the balcony of her third floor flat in John Bagot Close, Everton.
She landed on a wooden fence and broke her pelvis and cheekbone.
Ms Williams, who lives at the flat with her three sons, was doing housework yesterday at 2.50pm when she fell. Neighbours heard her cries and raised the alarm.
Today her eldest son said: 'We are all very shocked. She is lucky to be alive, I think. Mum is still cheerful despite her injuries.
'She remembers shouting for help as she lay on the ground and someone heard her and called 999.'
Ms Williams was being treated for her injuries and due to undergo a brain scan at the Royal Liverpool hospital today.
An ambulance spokesman said: 'She was lucky to survive. The wooden fence she landed on probably broke her fall. She was in a lot of pain, but it could have been much worse
