Woman attacked by teens.

A WOMAN suffered injuries to her mouth and teeth after being attacked by "five to six" teenagers in Redcar.

The 46-year-old victim was punched in the back of the head by one of the youths in an attempted robbery, causing her to fall forward and hit her face on the pavement.

The assault happened on Westmorland Road at around 1.15am on Sunday, November 15.

Police only revealed details yesterday.

The victim received medical treatment for her injuries and may need surgery in the future.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and was later released without charge.
