Wolters Kluwer continues string of acquisitions.
Now the aggressively acquisitive company announces two more purchases:
* A series of business and financial management titles from Prentice Hall Direct. The publications will become part of Aspen Publishers (aspenpublishers.com), New York, N.Y, a leading provider of legal and business information and a Wolters Kluwer North America company. Terms of the sale were not released.
The acquisition, according to Wolters Kluwer's Leslie Bonacum, "further strengthens Aspen Publishers' extensive legal, accounting and financial product line. Aspen offers a market-leading line of accounting, financial and legal texts and resource materials, including the Strafford accounting newsletters, the industry's best-selling Miller accounting series, and a range of books and electronic products."
* Intercounty Clearance Corporation, a public records service provider that primarily serves the northeast United States. Intercounty will become part of CCH Legal Information Services (CCH-LIS), New York, a leading provider of corporate legal services.
Founded in 1892 as CT Corporation, CCH-LIS pioneered the corporate legal services industry. CT Corp. is now a division of CCH-LIS providing legal services support for Intercounty's law firm customers.
Intercounty, which was founded in 1935 in New York, had 2001 fiscal-year revenues of $15 million.
In addition to CCH and Aspen, Wolters Kluwer North America's divisions include CCH Canadian, Toronto, and CCH Tax Compliance, Torrance, California
