Wogan: Dervish 'terrible'.

Byline: By NIALL DONALD

RADIO king Terry Wogan yesterday blasted Irish Eurovision flops Dervish saying they were TERRIBLE.

The veteran presenter said it was like watching "four people standing around in a pub."

The band's song - They Can't Stop The Spring - picked up just FIVE points in this year's song contest.

He said: "It was the worst song in the contest, it was terrible.

"It was like four people standing around in a pub.

"If anything, it was almost as bad as the UK entry - and that's saying something."

The 68-year-old was given Freedom of his home city of Limerick on Friday.

Yesterday, he said he was delighted to receive the honour: "I left Limerick at the right time because my memories of are all happy ones.

"I have such an affection for this great city."
