Wizz Air's load factor increased in July.

The load factor - a measurement of how full its aeroplanes were - improved in July for low-cost airline, Wizz Air Holdings PLC (LON:WIZZ).

The Central and Eastern Europe-focused operator's load factor improved to 95.6% in July from 95.4% in the corresponding month of 2018.

The rolling 12-month load factor improved to 93.2% from 91.7% in the year to July 2018.

The airline carried 3.88mln passengers in July, up from 3.48mln the year before.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions during the month rose 11.2% to 359,515 tonnes from 323,248 tonnes the year before but CO2 grams per kilometre travelled per passenger fell 2.1% to 56.8 from 58.0 the previous year.
