Wizard proves a point.

Aberavon fly-half Jamie Davies had a day to remember at the Talbot Athletic Ground as he passed 2,500 career points, becoming only the third player in Welsh League history to do so.

Whereas his dominant boot has often been needed to kick the Wizards to victory, there was no such reliance this time as the home side totally dominated an off-colour Keys outfit.

Two first-half tries by wing Richard Carter tipped the balance in Aberavon's favour and earned them a comfort zone 17-3 half-time advantage.

Keys only points in the opening half came from a Jonathan Williams penalty and their only second half joy also came from the wing who crossed for a try in the corner.

But Aberavon's try count rose to six as Daran Griffiths, Darryl Thomas and a penalty try added to the tally.

But it was fitting that Davies should also cross for a touchdown to mark his milestone, and he also landed four conversions and a penalty.
