Wit ness appeal to mass brawl.
The police helicopter hovered overhead as officers tried to control the punch-up which, at one stage involved about 40 people.
Yesterday the police appealed for witnesses to the incident in Denbigh which lasted about an hour.
The fight is believed to have been triggered by an incident in a local nightclub on Saturday night and when two groups of youths spilled out into Back Row in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Sgt Neil Stringfellow said extra officers were called in from outside the area as the trouble moved into Lenten Pool. At one time about six police cars were present.
``The entire episode lasted about an hour and involved 30-40 people,''he said.
Sgt Stringfellow said that three men had been arrested on public order offences and one for assault, and all had been released on police bail pending further investigations.
He appealed for information from anyone who witnessed any part of the brawl.
