Wit and barbs up at the Loft.

TOP drama Boston Marriage launches a new season of studio entertainment at the Loft Theatre in Leamington.

Nicolas James directs the David Mamet play, which looks at the lives of New England women as they deal with issues of power and obsession.

Wendy Morris, of the Loft Theatre, said: "Mamet is a leading American playwright and is noted for his strong male characters in grungy settings. In Boston Marriage, he has abandoned grunge for elegance and produced a comic parlour-piece full of barbed, incisive, witty dialogue."

The cast includes Erin Osgood (right), Ruth MacCallum and Michelle Bezant and the play opens tomorrow for a week.
