Wisconsin Nurses Association Advanced Practice Nurse forum selects board of director leadership for 2010-2011.

Advanced Practice Nurse members of WNA had an opportunity to vote for officers and directors-at-large of the APN Forum Board of Directors. Elections took place at the Annual Clinical & Pharmacology Update Conference April 14 - 16 2011.

The following individuals were elected for a two-year term:

President: Tina Bettin, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, APNP

Secretary/Treasurer: Gina Bryan, RN, APNP, CNS-BC, MS

Member-at-Large: Mary Beck Metzger, MSN, FNP-BC, APNP Trudy Mara, RM, MS, FNP-BC, ADM-BC, CDE Jean Roedl, RN, FNP, ADM, APNP

The APN Forum is a special interest group of the Wisconsin Nurses Association. The purpose of the APN Forum is to:

1. Protect and advance the role and practice of Advanced Practice Nurses through active membership involvement in WNA's structure and functions.

2. Influence the quality and quantity of continuing education for Advanced Practice Nurses through provision of conferences, co-sponsoring of conferences, and/or consulting in the planning of conferences.

3. Provide a forum for Advanced Practice Nurses to organize and act around professional, educational, economic and legislative issues, within the guidelines of the WNA.

4. Serve as resource to the WNA Board of Directors and other structural units. To find out more about Advanced Practice Nursing go to WNA's website
