Wirral's luck in at Lymm; WIRRAL.

WIRRAL won through 27-24 at Lymm but it was a lacklustre performance.

However, they managed to galvanise themselves to take a winning lead in the final minute of the game.

They only took the lead for the first time with nine minuites left when Rob Pearl, back after injury, smashed his way over to score.

A conversion from James Annetts gave Wirral the 27-24 advantge.

Wirral maintained pressure on Lymm, who strove to the end to achieve a winning score but the Merseysiders' defence played as one and kept them out.

After their first half display and a 17-point deficit, Wirral were fortunate to come away with the win and keep them in the running for second place in this highly competitive National Three North.

Wirral are at home today against another Cheshire side, Stockport.
