Wipe it with Termolace!
Suominen, a Finnish nonwovens maker, has developed a new material for wet wipes. Called Termolace, the material combines the benefits of thermal bonded and spunlaced nonwovens technologies to create a product for diverse wiping applications. Softness is achieved by engineering a new bonding pattern, which doesn't jeopardize the required tensile properties for a typical wet wipe. Wet bulk is also comparable to traditional spunlace wipes currently on the market. "Its; been really a thought process starting from the basic needs in the wiping applications and then utilizing the strong areas of Suominen", states one of the key developers Mr. Jan-Peter Blomquist, development engineer. Termolace has a high enough viscose content to achieve the level of absorbency needed in the impregnation stage of converting and enough liquid retention to avoide uneven wetness throughout the wipes package. Additionally, the material can be differentiated with inline printing in up to six colors.
