Winternals reveals Defrag Manager 4.0.
Defrag Manager 4.0, a Windows enterprise defragmentation solution, has been unveiled by Winternals Software, a provider of Microsoft systems recovery and data protection solutions.
Defrag Manager 4.0 allows administrators to monitor the status of operations, providing a more efficient management of defragmentation of large Windows environments, from a single console. It is said to include advanced mode and usability enhancements and to enable users to remotely schedule, deploy, monitor and control defragmentation. Reports can be generated for any system being defragmented and real-time status alerts in HTML or plain-text format can be e-mailed to administrators.
Defrag Manager 4.0 offers full support for Windows x64-compatible systems, is certified for Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition and is claimed to be the first commercial defragmenter to integrate with Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005.
Defrag Manager 4.0 is available now from Winternals and its resellers. No pricing information was given.
