Winners named in 2018 CFO of the Year Awards UPDATE with PHOTO GALLERY.

Nineteen financial pros were recognized, with winners in a variety of categories.

The CFO of the Year categories honor career successes and nominee contributions in other areas of corporate management.

Thomas Hess, senior vice president and CFO of Genomind Inc. of King of Prussia, was named CFO of the Year for private companies with revenue of up to $25 million.

Bob Harbaugh, CFO of Abeloff Auto Group Inc. in Stroudsburg, was a finalist in the category.

Gregory Yocco, CFO of MCS Industries Inc. in Easton, was named CFO of the Year for private companies with revenue over $25 million.

Finalists were: Tracy Hass, controller of Service Electric Cable TV Inc. in Bethlehem; Eric Haydt, CFO of Rea.deeming Beauty Inc. of Bethlehem and Michael Schwertfeger, CFO of J.G. Petrucci Co. of Asbury, N.J.

Maureen Michael, chief administrative officer and CFO of the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, was named CFO of the Year of a nonprofit organization with 74 people or less.

Mike Castor, CFO and COO of the GoggleWorks in Reading, and Art Troccoli, CFO of PBS39-WLVT in Bethlehem, were finalists.

Tara Fleureton, CFO of the Greater Valley YMCA in Allentown, was named CFO of the Year of a nonprofit organization with over 75 people.

Steven Breidigan, CFO of Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation in Allentown; Michael Callan, CFO of KidsPeace Corp. in Schnecksville, and Mary Beth Horner, CFO of LifePath Inc., in Bethlehem were finalists.

Gregory Krzemien, CFO of JetPay Corp. in Allentown, was named Best Growth Manager.

The Best Growth Manager category recognizes CFOs for their management of tremendous periods of growth at their companies.

Michael Krogermeier, CFO of Creditsafe USA in Allentown, and Nirali Patel, finance executive at Vishtech Services Co. in Easton, were finalists.

Bruce Rider, director of administration for the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission in Allentown, was named Best Turnaround Specialist.

The Best Turnaround Specialist recognizes CFOs who have contributed to a significant transaction, transformation or turnaround of their companies.

Aelish Brooks, CFO controller and director of HR for the Good Life Companies of Reading, was named Rising Star.

The Rising Star category honors up-and coming financial executives or CFOs with less than two years of service.

Bruce A. Heugel, senior vice president and CEO of B. Braun Medical Inc. in Bethlehem, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for a successful career in accounting that has spanned 40 years.

The judges used three criteria to rate the nominations: career achievements, impact of nominee's contributions and leadership in other areas of management.

Judges were Gary Bender, founder and CEO of the CFO Solution; Anthony DiGirolamo, president of AQualityCFO LLC; Rchard Hooper, 2017 CFO award winner; and Kenneth R.
