Winner of health contract still not named.

HEALTH chiefs have still not revealed who has won a PS238.4 million contract to run community health services across Kirklees.

Two organisations - contract holder Locala Community Partnerships and a consortium led by Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust - went head to head for the five-year deal.

The Care Closer to Home contract includes services such as community nursing, health visitors, speech and language therapy, foot care and physiotherapy.

Clinical commissioning groups for Greater Hudders-field and North Kirklees have decided on their "preferred bidder" but it may be up to two weeks before the contract is finalised and a decision made public.
