The University of Southern California's Scripter Award has been won by P.D. James' book entitled Children of Men.

The award reportedly recognises the author of the book as well as the screenwriters of its produced book-to-film adaptation, Alfonso Cuaron, Timothy J. Sexton, David Arata, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby.

Children of Men was turned into a movie directed by Cuaron and starring Clive Owen and Michael Caine.

The winners will be honoured on 18 February at a dinner on the USC campus, Reuters reported.
