Wingmakers in triple signing; transfer ROUND-UP.

AIRBUS UK director of football Andy Preece gave his squad a triple boost last night when he signed two strikers and a defender, writes Neil Turner.

Preece tied up deals to bring forwards Mark Danks and Jonathon Bathurst to the Airfield, with defender Jay Connolly completing the trio.

Danks, 27, started his career with Wolves before spending a season with Bradford City.

The former England under-16 international then had spells with Hednesford Town, Forest Green Rovers, Worcester City and Northwich Victoria . Bathurst numbers Ashton United, Skelmersdale United and Southport amongst his previous clubs.

Connolly, who can play as a central defender or full back, is a former captain of Burscough.

The trio are all expected to be included in the squad to face Port Talbot Town at the Airfield on Sunday.
