Winds of hope around the world: UN secy-gen.

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al Thani and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammad Abdulrahman al Thani attended the closing session of the 2018 Doha Forum on Sunday night. The session featured a keynote address by Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres who closed the Forum on a hopeful note, remarking, "Despite times of chaos and confusion, and a deficit in trust, I see winds of hope around the world." The closing also witnessed the announcement of the Doha Forum Award which will be given for the first time in 2019 to outstanding achievements to diversity, dialogue and diplomacy, and will be worth $0.5million. The annual policy gathering, held under the patronage of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, ended after two days of discussions around the world's most pressing challenges. (TNN)
