Winds of change blow in at NYCREW meet.

New York Commercial Real Estate Women Network (NYCREW) will host "The Winds of Change," a panel comprised of Wall Street's leading rating agencies focusing on REITS.

The program will take place on Wednesday, March 10 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m at Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw LLP, located at 1675 Broadway at 52nd Street.

Panelists include: Lisa Sarajin, managing director of Standard and Poor's; Tara Innes, managing director of Fitch Ratings; and Merrie Frankel, vice president/senior credit officer of Moody's Investor Services.

The discussion will cover a broad a range of topics affecting the REIT industry, including outlooks for each real estate sector, the role of rating agencies and their importance to securities markets, and barriers presented in entering into the rating business.

Panelists will also explore current issues, such as conflicts of interest faced by credit rating agencies as a result of Sarbanes-Oxley.
