Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update Officially Is Here - What's New?

Microsoft started to officially roll out today its Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Mobile devices. Previously, it was (http://www.ibtimes.com/did-microsoft-delay-windows-10-mobile-anniversary-update-2399699) rumored to release on Aug. 9 , but the update did not arrive last week, with Windows Insider Program head Dona Sarker confirming on Twitter that it was not  launching that time.

Earlier today, Windows and Devices Group Core Quality's Michael Fortin took to (https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2016/08/02/how-to-get-the-windows-10-anniversary-update/#CUYl9FHgW1Od8ZIZ.99) Windows' official blog to reveal that the Windows 10 Anniversary Update for mobile devices is already out, and it is set to reach all Windows 10 Mobile users all over the world, specifically in countries where Windows 10 is available.

So what does this update offer? According to (http://www.theverge.com/2016/8/16/12505858/microsoft-windows-10-mobile-anniversary-update-now-available) The Verge , it isn't that feature-packed like the anniversary updates for PCs and other platforms, but it does come with niceties to improve the user experience and bring something new to Windows 10 Mobile devices.

The Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update revamps the lock screen by providing a camera shortcut and media controls onto it. Other minor tweaks include alterations on the Settings menu, new emojis, battery-improving implementations in the Microsoft Edge browser and up-to-date security features.

As for innovations, the Mobile Anniversary Update brings Windows Ink and Cortana to Windows 10 Mobile-running devices. Now users can write or sketch on their devices' screens and do voice commands for a more high-tech user experience. The Skype app has also been greatly improved.

To install the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update, users are instructed to go to the Settings app, then go to Check for update after passing through the Security and the Phone update menu options. When the update is already available in the area of the user, his or her device will download the new build with the code 10.0.14393.67 and automatically install it, as per (http://www.pcworld.com/article/3108611/mobile/heres-how-to-get-the-windows-10-mobile-anniversary-update.html) PC World .

The Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update's release comes just two weeks after the Anniversary Update for PCs and tablets started rolling out. Microsoft has said that it is going to release two more updates in 2017.
