Wilrock LI gets exclusive for Mitchel Field property

Wilrock National of Long Island has been appointed exclusive leasing agent for the Financial Center at Mitchel Field, a 240,000-square-foot building at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Merrick Avenue in East Meadow.

Rick Edelstein, Don Melchiorre and Mike Raifaisen of Wilrock National of Long Island, who are spearheading the leasing effort, report that they are currently negotiating several leases for the building's 22,000 square feet of remaining space.

According to Edelstein, Mitchel Field has emerged as one of Long Island's premier office locations, attracting such companies as Chubb Insurance, Paine Webber, Dreyfus Corporation and the law firm of Rivkin, Radler, Bayh and Kremer.

The nine-story glass and polished stainless steel tower has Travelers Insurance as its primary tenant. Space is currently available on three upper floors offering panoramic views. Retail and office space is also available on the lobby level.

The Financial Center has a manned security station, five computer controlled elevators, a card store and outdoor patio on its lobby level, and a full service cafeteria with outdoor dining facilities, a Federal Express dropoff, tenant storage and an underground freight/delivery entrance on its lower level. The building also offer tenants ample workletters; electrified floors with six-inch wide trenches for electrical and computer wires; a variable climate control system; and a central computer management system.
