Williams painting sold for pounds 10,600.

A LARGE oil painting of a Patagonian landscape by celebrated Anglesey artist Sir Kyffin Williams has been bought for pounds 10,600.

Gorsedd y Gwnw (Throneof the Clouds),painted by Sir Kyffin in 1969, was bought by a collector from North West England.

The painting was one of four of his works sold at auction in Chester last week. The others were an ink line drawing of Grand Canal Venice which sold for pounds 850 to a Welsh bidder and two prints.
