Sam Jewell and Michael Peterson continued their undefeated run in singles play, and Nick Snyder and Jeff Thompson improved to 7-0 this season in doubles matches, as Willamette defeated host Lebanon 5-3 in a Midwestern League boys tennis match Monday.
Tim Duncan and Dan Stickels paired up to win the No. 1 doubles match 6-0, 6-1 to lift Sheldon to a sweep of the doubles matches in a 6-2 Midwestern League victory over visiting Springfield.
South Eugene dominated host Thurston, posting an 8-0 victory over the Colts, who scored only eight points total.
Devin Daugherty won the No. 1 singles match and Ashley Churchill and Vanessa Willmore won at No. 1 doubles to lead South Eugene to an 8-0 Midwestern League victory over host Thurston.
Amanda Boslsto and Rachael Gard claimed the No. 1 doubles win as Springfield swept the doubles matches in a 5-3 Midwestern League victory over host Sheldon.
Hannah Sherman overcame an early deficit to win the No. 1 singles match in three sets as Lebanon defeated host Willamette 6-2 in a Midwestern League match.
Sheldon's trio of Chris Polski, Justin Ahrens and Jack Dukeminier placed one through three, respectively, as the Irish won a Midwestern League tournament at Mallard Creek.
Polski won the event with an even-par 72, while Ahrens shot a 74 and Dukeminier carded a 75 along with South Eugene's Tyler Morse and Alex Gruber. As a team, Sheldon shot 299.
Marist's Allen Kelley shot a 75 to edge Siuslaw's Jesse Schutte by one stroke in a Sky-Em League tournament at Shadow Hills Country Club.
That one stroke was also the difference in the team race, as the Spartans (331) took first, just ahead of the Vikings (332).
Elmira's Nathanial Johnson finished third with a score of 78.
Reedsport's Aubrey Vaughn shot an 85 to win a five-team nonleague tournament at Sandpines.
The Braves also won the team title with a low score of 469.
Matt Booth, Aaron Porterfield and Drew Watts all scored two goals for Churchill as the Lancers defeated Thurston 7-3.
Kevin Bozada had 10 ground balls for Churchill, while Kenny Adams had 14 saves for the Colts.
Zach Dehnert recorded three goals and one assist to lead Sheldon past North Eugene 8-2.
Steve Ralls and Brett Whyte had two goals each for the Irish, while goalkeeper AJ Sparks had 11 saves.
