Wiertz named to EDANA's top spot.

A 20-year association veteran has been named general manager of EDANA, the European Disposables and Nonwovens Association, Brussels, Belgium. The newly created position replaces the old role of secretary general, which was vacated last fall when Paul Dewingaerden joined DuPont's nonwovens team. Pierre Wiertz most recently served as deputy secretary general. He has a wealth of experience and expertise in public affairs and issue management in the nonwovens and absorbent hygiene business. "I am taking up this challenge with enthusiasm and determination," Mr. Wiertz said. "I will do my utmost with our great Brussels team to ensure that EDANA continues to create the foundation for sustainable growth for nonwovens, associated industries and their suppliers."
