Why you should be seriously considering a serviced office.

Y ou only have to glance around the city to see the devastating effects of our current financial predicament. Birmingham, like most cities, has become inundated with vacant commercial space and building sites have grinded to a halt.

Businesses that until recently felt secure and happy to commit to long term leases or commercial mortgages are now probably regretting signing on the dotted line. This is why a serviced office offers a real benefit to companies.

Anne Corstorphine is the Managing Director of City Spirit St Pauls, a leading serviced office provider based in St Paul's Square: "The serviced office providers offer a genuine alternative for companies needing quality, affordable, office space. A key benefit for businesses, especially at the moment, is the reduced risk factor by providing short term, flexible options enabling businesses to adapt as their needs change in this very uncertain climate. Forget about costly building maintenance, utility bills and rates because they are met by the serviced office provider."

Not only do serviced offices provide cost effective alternatives, they can be found in prime city centre locations; companies can save money and gain a better location.

Eileen Gorman, Director of Uniec Financial Services Limited wanted office space, but this couldn't be just any office space. "Uniec's home needed to allow for the rapid growth the company was facing and also reflect client expectations of a vibrant, professional and stable company" says Eileen.

Having searched Birmingham it was established that the office location should be central to enable good transport links for visiting clients and St Pauls Square seemed ideal.

Anne Corstorphine, MD of City Spirit St Pauls, showed how as a serviced office provider they could offer a beneficial alternative to commercial leased property. Extending short term, flexible lease options enables Uniec to adapt at its own pace and offers savings by paying only for those services used - be it administration support, IT, hospitality or on site car parking - and is a great solution for managing costs and more importantly eliminating unnecessary spend. Eileen stated "It is not often that reality exceeds expectation, but here the management and staff have achieved it" Uniec have worked from the grand Victorian building overlooking the square ever since and in fact, have recommended it to 2plan Wealth Management, one of the top three independent financial advice firms in the UK with offices nationwide. 2plan will be joining the team in St Pauls Square in August.

Proof positive of serviced offices providing for success!
