Why not drop in & say Othello?

SHAKESPEARE'S most brutal and gripping thriller is to leave audiences at Belfast's Waterfront Studio "breathless", it was claimed yesterday.

The Bruiser Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of their new adaptation of Othello from March 16 to 19.

Directed by Lisa May and adapted by Patrick J O'Reilly, is described as a "bare-knuckle Shakespeare for 2011" and promises to be a "brutal and gripping thriller" which is "exhilarating and relevant". Mr O'Reilly added: "It has been a delight being seduced by the mastery of Shakespeare's Othello."

Gilly Campbell, from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland added: "We are pleased that public funding has helped support Bruiser to bring this exciting new production to the stage. It is not to be missed."
