Why holiday romances are kid's stuff.
Her children's school has broken up early and they flew out on Tuesday morning. Lucky her.
And the holiday has thrown up one of those amazing coincidences.
They are at an apartment complex in Gouves. And guess where their son's `little girlfriend' and her family have gone too.
Same apartments, same resort, same Greek isle - only they flew out four days earlier.
The girl, at seven, is in love with my pal's son who looks a bit like the youngest lad in Malcom In The Middle - all ears and acutesie startled look about him.
Sadly, my pal's son doesn't feel the same. He screws his nose up at the mere mention of her.
But he may be softening. As a plane flew overhead, little Edward stared up at the sky and said to his mum: ``That could be Hannah, couldn't it?''
I can see them both now, sharing a last Cornetto, him in his little trunks, her in a floppy hat, both in kiddies' gaudy sunspecs, as the sun sets over the Aegean!
