Who will flourish here? Print art.

AN exhibition of prints by short-listed West Yorkshire artists making a bid for the Flourish 2014 award for excellence opens tomorrow. The show, at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop Gallery in Mirfield, is on until November 15, but the winner of the Excellence in Printmaking Award will be announced on October 10.

Members of the public will be encouraged to select their favourite for a People's Choice Award, to be revealed at the end of the exhibition.

On October 10 the WYPW is hosting an open evening, with demonstrations, studio tours, printmaking exhibition and a chance to meet last year's winner Scarlette Homeshaw, who won a year's free membership of the workshop and the chance to present a solo exhibition. This event starts at 5pm.
