Who's the greatest?

Winston Churchill was named the greatest Briton but now votes are being cast to find the bright sparks whose minds have changed the world. Following on from the success of the BBC's Greatest Briton, a poll has been launched to find out who the Welsh public would consider to be the Great Thinker, the person whose thoughts and ideas have made a difference.

The lines opened this week in the University of Glamorgan poll.

Already votes have been cast for scientists and politicians including Charles Darwin, famed for his theories of evolution, and ex-President of South Africa Nelson Mandela.
