Who'll take Georgia's crown? SEXY IRISH MODELS WHO ARE THE ONES TO WATCH IN 2011.

Byline: SARAH BARDON

IT'S clear 2010 was Georgia Salpa's year but the star could be about to lose her crown.

While many Irish models are being forced to take up second jobs, such as nitghtclub hostesses and working in boutiques, Georgia has proved she is recession-proof. She has promoted everything including phones, fake tan, hotels, burgers, airport transport, fastfood restaurants, clothes, weddings, pizzas, men's grooming products, bookies, cycling, herbal tea, spaghetti, hotel websites, the Lotto, barbecues and wrestling.

But 2011 looks set to be the year her crown as Ireland's top model will be challenged.

Here we look at some of those contenders.

EMMA WALDRON

EMMA represented Ireland in Miss World 2010 pageant earlier in the year.

The trainee teacher wowed the audience with her violin playing.

Even after she hands back her crown, 2011 could still be a superb year for this stunner.

VOGUE WILLIAMS

VOGUE came to surface when she took part in RTE's answer to The Hills in 2010.

The blonde, from Portmarnock, Dublin, came to the fore in modelling towards the end of the year. With the right mentoring she will definitely be up there for 2011.

GEORGIE TRACEY

GEORGIE is a well-known face on Dublin's clubbing scene.

She was spotted in a number of shoots in 2010.

The beauty had been concentrating on her studying in recent months but she could be one of the big faces of next year.

LAURA SCANLON

STUNNING Laura caught the attention of Andrea Roche when she represented Wexford in Miss Ireland.

The beauty came third in the competition but was later snapped up by Ms Roche's new modelling agency.

KARENA GRAHAM

KARENA has been modelling for a number of years but 2011 looks set to be the hottest year.

The blonde Claudia Schiffer lookalike is known as one of the most down-to-earth models in the country and keeps her feet firmly on the ground.

HAZEL O'SULLIVAN

HAZEL has been around for a few years now but she took time off from the Irish modelling scene in the early part of last year.

She surfaced again in the last few months and we reckon this could be a very big year for her.

LOUISE KAVANAGH

MANY people might have wondered what happened to busty Louise this year.

The star took a break and moved to London.

She has made some good contacts and could be one to watch in the months ahead.
