Where to draw line; Your say.

WHY does Cllr Steve Kay's suggestion 'Yorkshire pride' (25.4.12} that the Eston area, including South Bank, Grangetown etc, should join Middlesbrough make me think of 'Greeks bearing gifts'? Any true Yorkshireman would tackle any perceived problems in an area rather than 'export' them for somebody else to deal with.

From this side of the local authority 'border' it rather looks as though he is trying to dump the Eston area at the expense of the Middlesbrough council tax payers.

The canny Yorkshire folk of Middlesbrough don't see it as a good deal. Now if he should offer Guisborough and Nunthorpe instead, well that would be a different kettle of fish, at least we could get on with building the East Middlesbrough Relief Road.
