I AM writing to ask if any of your readers can recall any details about an incident from my youth.

Around 1957 I was a St John Ambulance (SJA) cadet, and a fellow cadet (whose name I have forgotten), received an award for saving the life of a boy who had been accidently shot in the neck.

Both of these lads lived in Chiswell Street, I lived in Odsey Street and another cadet lived in Cameron Street.

. We used to go to SJA in Garston, with an officer who was a milkman called Larry, who had a dairy at the south end of Cameron Street.

I, TOO, Kirkdale Power,Iremember blue neon sign the CommodoreCinema. small child Ithought commodorewas saluting.

EdwardGrainger, Iwould like to discover what happened to these boys just for personal interest. I can be contacted on Facebook or email brian@theedens.org.uk.
