Where's the justice?

This refers to the letter 'Monstrous crime' (GDN, October 18). Although I have been busy of late and was not able to catch up on newspapers, the topic has been campaigned for earlier.

I have criticised Bahrain's judicial system many times. Being a Bahraini, I feel insulted at many verdicts. For example, a rapist gets three years in jail, while someone who steals a car gets 10. Where on earth do you see justice?

The story would have been different if the victim was the judge's daughter or close relative.

Where are the MPs who campaign for banning alcohol and hotel entertainments (irrelevant topics)? Why on earth are they not even campaigning for justice in such horrendous crimes?

Turning a blind eye will not help you people. Remember MPs and judges: what goes around, comes around. Tomorrow, you will definitely be the victim. Allah is watching you!
