Where's best for ski snow?

Byline: Gill Williams

Q WE'RE taking a pre-Christmas ski holiday in Europe but nervous there might be no snow. Where's the most reliable place?- M. Smithfield, Birmingham

A EARLY in the season, it's best to find a resort as high up as possible and ideally with a glacier if snow is in short supply. Tignes in France is a good bet, while Saas-Fee in Switzerland at 3,000-plus metres is also snow sure. For snow reports go to the Ski Club of Great Britain's website www.skiclub.co.uk.
