What to WATCH.
The Tony Blair Interview With Andrew Marr (BBC2, 7pm) As it turns out, Tony Blair's muchanticipated memoirs are being published at a time when his reputation sits pretty much at an all-time low. A fair question for Andrew Marr to ask him in this interview might be: "Why do people hate you so much?" Unlike many other former leaders, Blair is now equally reviled on the left and right wings of politics. When donating several million pounds of book royalty fees and profits to charity - in Blair's case the Royal British Legion - is dismissed as "blood money", you know you're in trouble. But perhaps Blair's rehabilitation starts here, or will Marr winkle out the odd admission of regret? Alex Higgins: The People's Champion (BBC2, 9pm) A revealing look back at the life of the snooker player, who died in July in his home town of Belfast after a long battle with throat cancer. Born in 1949, "Hurricane" Higgins started playing when he was just 11 and, by the age of 23, was the youngest-ever world champion. Electrifying to watch, his fast style transformed the game, but it was his equally fast lifestyle that kept him in the papers.
