What to WATCH.

Extreme Animals (BBC1, 4.30pm)

It's time to meet 10 of the toughest animals on the planet.

There's the 3mtall, 3,000kg polar bear, the pink fluffy flamingos that live inacid, and the cricket that can survive being frozen solid.

Sometimes, being humandoesn't seem so terribly difficult, after all.

The Apprentice (BBC1, 9pm)

The competition nears the half-way point and Alan Sugar sets the two teams their most demanding challenge so far - to sell a range of photographs at a London art gallery.

The cracks show in Eclipse as they are divided over how to approach the task under Natalie's leadership, while Tre objects to project manager Kristina's selection of nude pictures.

Grand Designs (C4, 9pm, S4C, Thursday, 10pm)

Musicians Tony and Jo Moffat began building a home on the west coast of Scotland, investing in an architect who developed an experimental design emulating a Norwegian longhouse, using a medieval cruck oak frame.

But the build soon hits problems, leaving them struggling. Three years on, Kevin McCloud revisits the couple to discover how their unique creation has progressed.
