What gay couples know best.
Forget about fashion or Cooking--the gay rights group Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund wants the world to know that gay people are good at relationships, in response to the antigay Marriage Protection Week endorsed by President Bush in October, Lambda organized "Queer Eye for the Straight Couple," a forum in which straight married couples ask for advice ,via E-mail from long-term same-sex couples."We started this as an engaging way to tell straight people that we understand the problems they face in their relationships, because our families face them every day too," said Michael Adams, Lambda's director of education and public affairs.
Via its Web site, Lambda brought together seven couples to answer questions on topics such as work related issues and keeping romance alive "It's funny how so many [couples] center on one difference when there are so many similarities," said Mike Galluccio, who gave advice and was surprised by how similar gay and straight relationship difficulties really are.
